Our story together, starts here in the heart of Idaho’s central mountains. I came to Salmon to rappel and fight wildfire for the Forest Service and Brandon found himself river guiding on the Middle Fork after college. As fate would have it, one dark and stormy night…we met under the stars at the good ol’ fashion…Shady Nook. We spent dates going to hotsprings, floating the river, horseback riding, hunting, and finally getting engaged on the Middle Fork River at Mist Falls. It is a day I will never forget. Lunch stop at Mist Falls…huge elk rack hanging off the boat, searching for wild mint for cocktails and perfect placement of a hand-made engagement ring with elk antlers hiding under the mist of the falls. I think at heart - Brandon is a big romantic. (He also knew that elk antlers were perfect because I grew up in the town of Elk City, Idaho) Who can say “no” to that?
The rest is history. We found our perfect piece of heaven, got hitched, built a house and had babies! Many property improvements have been made since living in the snowmobile trailer and having an outdoor shower under the big aspen tree.
Now, we want to share our little piece of heaven with you!
Knowing all the activities that Salmon has to offer, we made our wedding weekend a wedding adventure! Friends came out early, camped on the property, floated the river, went to the hotsprings, rode horses, had campfires, Dutch-oven cookouts, went fishing, hiking, paddleboarding, mountain biking… and we even had a local gym host a group wedding workout session!

We offer a range of amenities to make your stay comfortable and convenient, including full RV hookups, bathroom facilities, picnic tables, fire pits and horse stalls.
The bathhouse includes access to 2 restrooms with showers, sink and toilets. 1 is ADA compliant.
There is a smaller arena or large round corral available to warm up stock.
WE ALSO SPECIALIZE IN OFFERING HORSE CLINIC FACILITIES, WITH A 50 X 80 FOOT ROUND CORRAL ARENA.
CLINICIANS CAN RENT THE WHOLE PROPERTY WITH THE ARENA, OVERNIGHT STALLS, CAMPING AND BARN FACILITIES.
4-16 x 24 feet individual horse stalls are available for an overnight rental fee of $10. Owners are responsible for providing their own hay and care of animals while on-site. To secure an overnight stall, call Jessica at (208) 596-5432. (This cannot be booked online.)

There are mutlitpe hiking or mountain biking options right out the backdoor! Henry's Creek Trailhead is 1.5 miles south of the RV park. Powder House Gulch is a mountain bikers dream. Check out the following websites for trail maps, information and photos!

Cactus River Ranch is located 8 miles south of Salmon, Idaho, along the main Salmon River. We have 3 full RV hook-ups and one camping spot with access to a bathhouse. Each RV site has electric, water and septic (Site #1, 30 amp, Site #2: 30 or 50 amp, Site #3: 30 or 50 amp). Sites can be booked online at HIPCAMP or by calling Jessica at (208) 596-5432.
Directions: From Salmon, ID drive south on Hwy 93. Turn right across Shoup Bridge. Stay left at the Y of Perreau Creek and Williams Crk. Staying on Williams Crk Road, again stay to the left at the Y turning onto Williams LAKE Road. Property located about 1.25 miles from the Y on the left side of the road. Canvas wall tent located in the yard that you can see from the road. Enter through the open gate. Please drive around circular drive clockwise.
